Evansville

Probably a good place to stay away from. The head coach is a dictatorial type of coach: his way or the highway. You can live with that but for the fact that he considers that he is always right and that he never has to modify his approach or learn something new. If there is a problem, it's always the players and never him or his coaches. Plus, he plays favorites more than most. Not a good atmosphere.

I think he'll likely come around at some point; you have to remember that this is only his fourth year as a head coach anywhere with two of those years at a junior college. But for now, I don't think the program is being run very well.

The school itself is a wonderful academic institution. A degree from there is something to be proud of. The town is nice too.

Any update with their new coach?

Coach Carroll is a great guy. A players coach for sure. He should do well on the recruiting trail and bring the Evansville program back up to where they should be. Carroll is nothing like the previous coach.

He played at Evansville under Coach Brownlee, who is a class guy!

He will also have a good pipeline to John Logan College, which is a very good JUCO program.
