Looking forward to the spring season and just wondering how the district teams will do.

Here is the order I think they will finish the regular season district play:

Kettle Run only lost 1 player (Bowman) that had much playing time while returning every starter. If they can replace his innings, I would call them them preseason favorites. See big things from Driver,Reinaldo,Giunta,Stuart this season.

Brentsville lost a lot of talent and players with 3 years of experience(Weaver,McBride,Kerns,Hale,Stronko), they do return 3 players to form a nice staff (Douglas,Murphy,Love) and a big bat(Brown).

Warren County brings back almost everyone (they will miss Hutzell) and could challenge for the top spot. Have not seen them as much as the other teams in the district, but they are a good team that makes the fundamental plays.

Liberty lost a lot of their core players from last year, but will return several players that can help. Klier,Morgan,Ramirez will help get the team heading back to the winning track.

Fauquier will have a long season after losing 11 seniors-including the entire pitching staff. They return only 4 varisty players (Bunn,Foley,Kowalcyzk,Taylor) and will be very young.

That's how I see it - what do you think?

Love will probably be the #2 for Brentsville this coming Spring. Douglas has more Varsity experience, he threw quite a bit last year.

The rotation will be Brentsville's strong suite this year. We lost quite a few starters (as 643 points out) and the #1 Pitcher from last year (Hale).
Liberty was on top 4-3 going into the 6th, KR went ahead top of 6, 6-4, Liberty got one back bottom of 6th, 6-5. Top of 7 Plate Umpire blows a huge call in favor of Kettle Run, a ball hit to the left field foul territory was 25 feet foul and the umpire gave the kid a two run homer on it. Liberty's Coach argued the call but plate umpire would not reverse it. Changed momenteum of the game to KR and that's a shame. Kettle run would score 2 more in the 7th and Liberty got one back in the bottom of 7 to the final KR 10, LHS 6.

LHS - 10 hits, 3 errors
KR - 8 hits, 2 errors

A very hard fought ball game from both teams.
