We've been in school a couple of weeks and I find myself really missing my seniors from last year.

I saw a few of them over the summer; even coached against several of them, fun games for sure, but now that they are really gone I really do miss them. I get to know them in 7th grade here at our school so it can be a pretty good (and usually some ups and downs along the way) relationship.

I remember the coach on Friday Night Lights told one kid, "it's guys like you that make guys like me want to coach" .... I guess that's how I'm feeling toward that bunch... anyway, thanks Jordan, Cody, Jake, Josh, and Corey.

Wow, talk about reading my mind! I have two or three brothers in my classes from the last baseball teams that I coach here. All of them were at my camps and along the sidelines as they grew up. When my break came today, I called up a PowerPoint from the 2005 Team. It has over 340 pictures. It is 45 minutes long and has a lot of great songs. I played it and got kind of emotional. What a great group. I told the last group that they spoiled me in coaching. I truly believe some men will coach a life time and not get to have players like I had here at my school. I have been so blessed.
