Ex- Girlfriend Puts Curse on Pitchers Control.

Pitchers unable to throw strikes are famous throughout history. But this pitchers excuse might get him into the Hall of Fame of excuses. John Turner blames his wildness on his recent break up with his girlfriend. Who he claims was a distraction to his baseball career.

Turner claims his girlfriend did not handle the break up very well and put a curse on his control. Turner recently has gotten so wild, his fall league coach is afraid to ever let him throw bull pens. His first game after his break up lasted 27 pitches, zero strikes. 4 hit batters and 3 pitches in the stands.

Turner said he recently asked his ex - girlfriend to take the curse off, which she refused. Turner also struck out in his attempt to get back together with his ex. She is now dating a hockey player.

The following is a true story. The names are omitted because, well, you figure it out.

There was a third baseman in A ball who was a very good hitter, but a brick on defense. He thought his hands were cursed.

So, on a visit home, he went to a voodoo priestess, who counseled his to take a hammer to his hands and threaten to beat the evil spirit out of the hand. You might have to hit it a few times, the priestess told him, but you'll actually see the evil leave.

He only got as far as one hand. But he never saw the evil leave. He did, however, lose much of the feeling in the limb, possibly because he broke just about every bone in it.

He did not play again for three years. He attempted a comeback, only to find that he still was a brick on defense. And that he wasn't much better at bat.

No word on what the priestess is doing these days.
