I know alot of people like to have the best bat out there and are willing to pay just about anythign to get the bat that makes u hit 50 to 100 ft further. The thing is, the way I see it, why get such an expensive bat when it teaches you nothing. When you ahve a less expensive bat you learn to hit the ball on teh barrel more like a wooden bat. The most I will ever spend on a bat is 120 which to me under my circumstances is still pretty steep. Anyone else think these expensive bats are just a tad overrated?

I don't really agree that expensive is better. I swing a Louisville Platinum. I love that bat. It only cost me like $90.00. I don't like those flex-handles. The Platinum is a stiff handel and I feel I have more control over the bat. My whole team likes to use my bat. But don't take my word for it. Waht ever bat feels good to you is the one you should use. To each his own. You know?
I play around 60-80 games a year. I'm fourteen years old. I play in some highly competive games. But using a metal bat defintly does make a difference. Sure it might not teach you anything, but when I'm not hitting in a game I use a wooden bat, and on average take 75-150 cuts a day, and when I get into the game and use a metal, the sweet spot seems gigantic. I just think if you play highly competive ball you should have a good bat.
