Hey everyone,

I come to y'all in need of some help with a workout. I'm working on building my own workout routine and I'm not sure where to go. I'm a smaller pitcher, 5'11, and I'm trying to add some velo over this summer and have really bought into the explosiveness and momentum pitching that you'll see from Trevor Bauer or Lincecum. I've read up on Bauer and looked everywhere to try to find out more and more about his workouts but can't seem to find much more besides he has four different workouts covering everything from agility to lifting. I wanted to have a specific agility program and a specific lifting program along with a plyo program too but I'm not sure where to go with these things. I've been reading up as much as I can on Ron Wolforth and his teaching and I had a pitching coach a couple years back who taught me a lot of what Wolforth teaches and I love it so I want to go in that direction. I have the lifting program but I need more help with building some explosiveness and working on the fast twitch fibers. Also, right now I'm pretty inflexible so I was thinking about taking some sort of yoga class or something like that. Thoughts? I'm really looking for some suggestions on explosive exercises. This whole post might seem pretty confusing so if you need me to clear something up then let me know. Thanks.

well i have done a lot of research for pitching workouts and there are a lot of things that will help you put on velocity.

get the cross bands and do band workouts
long toss
stretching- more flexability will help you a lot
core workouts like abs and lower back
leg workouts like squats and deadlifts
rice bucket and wrist roller for forearms
anything legs will help out

make sure you work on the muscles that stop your arm as well as the ones that accelerate it. because your body will only allow your arm to go so fast so that it would stop.
