People have different ways of defining extension and using it towards hitting. I wanted to see how many different versions of extension is out there. Cues and words mean different things to many different people. On a personal note my 14yr old has been getting more extension in the hitting zone. Before he was quick to the zone and quick out of the zone, but he has focused on getting extension and hitting some frozen ropes all over the field.

Full extension to me is getting both arms fully extended through contact. Contact should be with bent elbows (back more than front) bottom palm facing down, top palm facing up, hands in front of bellybutton. Back arm extends forward as top hand fires and front arm extends after contact as a result of both hands and the body doing what they are supposed to do at the right time or inertia.
