Does anyone know of a good hitting facility and instructors in the Gainesville/Herndon area?

That's a heck of a distance between the two!
Around Gainesville, you'll want to check out Snyder's facility(Snyder Baseball Academy).
Around Herndon, you'll want to go to Diamond Sports Training (DST) in Sterling.
Pinkman Baseball is in Sterling

Live in Gainesville and work in Herndon. New to the area. Also, any help with softball pitching instruction or facilities would be very helpful.
Also, Rip City in Sterling (Sterling address, but not all the way in Sterling.) Not a bad drive from Gainesville.
Then Synder would be your best bet: it's the next town over (Haymarket), about 10 minutes away from Gainesville. Baseball and softball. Can't beat the training staff.
Is Dranesville still considered a location up there? I was raised in Sterling way too many years ago (went to Broad Run when Waxpool Rd was a 2 lane country road), and I wondered if that was what the OP was asking about. What a geezer I have become.
