In high school,with a runner on 1st and from the set position, can a pitcher do a jump turn and then fake to first?
If so, under what condition is a fake to 1st a balk?

A jump move is considered staying engaged to the rubber (one base on throw out of play), but you can NOT fake to 1st on a jump turn.
Pitcher must disengage rubber to fake to 1st. This includes righties or lefties.

Same situation, RHP does a jump move to first as runner takes off. Does he have to continue and complete the throw to first or can he throw to second as he is making a play on a runner? Are FED and OBR the same? Thanks guys.
If he does a jump turn to 1st (gains distance & direction toward 1st with his free foot) he must throw there. All codes agree.
Regarding the jump throw if the pitcher remains engaged with the rubber he must throw. If he disengages (where there is distance between the pivot foot and the rubber) he becomes a fielder and does not have to throw to first base.

Incorrect. A jump turn is defined as being in contact with the rubber.
He must legally disengage, that is to step off on the second base side of the rubber, with his pivot foot, in order to fake to first.

The jump turn is not a legal way to disengage, no matter where the pivot foot winds up. He still must throw to 1st.
