I was wondering if it was better for son to play fall baseball or focus on showcases/camps. He is a 2012 graduate and has gotten interest from a few colleges. He plays football so playing fall ball is limited. He is getting private instruction so I was wondering what is the best course of action. Thanks for comments.

IMO, even though he is a 2012, if he is playing football, I would try to stay away from any showcases or tournies where there would be coaches at. Why- because he's not playing and practicing baseball everyday and won't be at his best. Hopefully he got enough exposure from the spring and summer events. Again this is just my opinion but it is the approach I am taking with my 2013 son.
johnj314, I hear what you are saying but the schools that saw him this summer have stated they want him to camp this fall/winter. And there arent any camps in the spring because the season has started for them.

Twotex, He plays on a good fall showcase team but some of the schools he is looking at I am almost certain they will not be at the tournaments he will be playing in.
