Fall Baseball or Showcases/Camps

My son's fall ball coach told him that if he had a chance to play on a good showcase team this fall he should, and not play fall ball. My son is a 2013.

IMO, even though he is a 2012, if he is playing football, I would try to stay away from any showcases or tournies where there would be coaches at. Why- because he's not playing and practicing baseball everyday and won't be at his best. Hopefully he got enough exposure from the spring and summer events. Again this is just my opinion but it is the approach I am taking with my 2013 son.

johnj314, I hear what you are saying but the schools that saw him this summer have stated they want him to camp this fall/winter. And there arent any camps in the spring because the season has started for them.

Twotex, He plays on a good fall showcase team but some of the schools he is looking at I am almost certain they will not be at the tournaments he will be playing in.

My two cents:

We are playing on a local league play team just to keep playing and stay sharp and focusing on camps and showcases.
