I signed up for a fall camp at a DI school. Is this in violation of any NCAA recruiting rules? The camp is sponsored by the college baseball team.

I wouldn't think there are any violatons. Lots of D1's hold camps over the holidays in December. Florida State comes to mind as my son has attended one there. He's also been to holiday camps at UVA and WVU. I think as long as you are paying your own way and all the "contact" is done on-campus it's ok. But trust me, I'm still learning about all this stuff myself!

IF a DI is holding a camp...I doubt they will be in violations...there are many rules...but camps are ok..as POP said as long as you are paying your own way! Two things happen at these camps...first the school makes a bunch of money to help the baseball program, and 2 they get an opportunity to see certain players they might have interest in...as for violation...unless their compliance person is completely asleep at the wheel, your fine!

You may be confused because of the dates that a D1 cannot evaluate you OFF campus(mid november to early March).
