I'll start... Youngest is coaching now so a little different but similar routine...

Wednesday was last day of a ten day home visit here with his girlfriend.  They packed, spent the day with us – we drove down the coast to Santa Barbara, dropped them at the airport.  They took red eye west coast to back east Wednesday night into Thursday morning.  He moved girlfriend into her college dorm Thursday a.m., had his first day of grad school classes online, drove 3 hrs to his new college Thursday night, moved into new apartment, met his new roomies.  Friday, went to 10am coaches meeting – met new coaching staff, 5 hr meeting, then first round of grad school papers due.   Saturday and Sunday worked 12 hour days with a showcase tourney and prospect camp, then a staff outing, home at 2am. Monday first team meeting, team conditioning starts Tuesday.  Ahh, to be young.

Other stories?

Son is a Volunteer Assistant this year......gonna be a grad assistant the next two years.  Finished as an Asst Coach in the summer league mid July and has been at his new school for 2 weeks.  They had inter-squads the past two days and were one guy short, so he got to play 1B both days (no batting) lol.   Said it was fun to be back on the field, even if it was only for 8 innings.   He'll be working with mostly the JV team once they show up in a couple weeks, but seems to be enjoying the change over from player to coach so far
