Our association pools players from our 13U and 14U team (those kids not playing football) and we played in the freshman or JV division (may have been JV as I believe a few kids on the other teams actually drove themselves to the games!!). We played some teams with much older players but the boys got some good experience with the wood bat. Was some good competitive baseball in the fall. I think we will be doing the same this year.
GSBA will be assembling a High School Varsity team to compete in the Varsity Division this fall. For any high school players looking to tryout for a team please let me know, cost will be reasonable and hat and shirt are both included in the cost. We are looking to field a very competative team, already have a young coach signed on to coach the squad. Tryouts will be in August.
New this year in the fall wood bat league will be different team options,
1. $175 enterance fee you pay your own insurance, umpires, baseballs, uniforms, and all other team expenses

2. $150 per player (minimum 12 players maximum 16 players) insurance, umpire fees, uniform (tee shirt and hat), baseballs and a wood bat per player all included.

3. $375 enterance fee includes insurance

4. $500 enterance fee includes insurance and game balls

5. $500 (everything from #4) + $20 per player on your roster includes uniform (hat and tee shirt)

We will be also excepting individual player registrations and attempting to put them on teams, placement will be determined by talent level.

Visit www.granitetsatebaseball.org for additional infomration.
With some new opitions this fall we have made it easier for an individual to run a team and not worry about the financial aspect of running a team. No need to deposit a bunch of player's checks into your checking account, kids write the check to the GSBA and we provide coaches with uniforms, hats, balls, insurance and umpire fees. For those who perfer to do that on their own you still can. Also NH's only wood bat league.
I might be interested in having my 13 year old son join a team depending on how things go this weekend with the 13U Cal Ripken Babe Ruth State tournament. He's currently on the Farmington 13U all star Roster. He played fall ball with an organization from Newington last year, but for what I paid, it was a little disappointing considering the level of instruction he received or did NOT receive as it were. But, he got to play ball and that was the most important thing I guess. I'd love him to play this fall as well.
GSBA is accepting individual High School Registrations for the Freshman, Junior Varsity or Varsity Divisions. The cost is $150 per player which includes a hat, shirt and league issued Akadema ash bat. Visit www.granitestatebaseball.org. For those top tier ballplayers here in NH and boardering MA, ME and VT Towns visit www.nhbaseball.org to find out more information about our Showcase League.
