There are "idiots" out there everywhere.
Had people attack a KC coach in Chicago at a Sox game a few years ago.
Father and son team...Apparently, the father now doing 5 years in jail on some parole violation.

The NY Yankee fans were a bit more generous, used to throw money, $5.00 and $1.00 bills at Reggie Jackson a while ago. Reggie use to pick up $70.00 a game in the outfield

The fan should have been removed from the stadium and prohibited from ever returning again.....

Not that I condone such behavior, but throwing an empty syringe sans needle is hardly going to endanger anyone. Compared to fans that throw coins on the ice at hockey games and throw batteries at baseball players, this is nothing. I find it pretty humorous under the circumstances.
It ain't gettin any better for Bonds if there throwin syringes in SD.....wait until he gets to Philly and NY, they be throwin first aid kits in left field.

barroid himself has admitted to using "the clear" and "the cream". He just used the Palmiero defense and claims he didn't know they were steroids. He thought "the clear" was flaxseed oil and "the cream" was just some "balm"
As far as the fan, no excuse for that behavior.
But, barroid picking up the syringe without knowing what might have been in it-not too bright. But, then again, he apparently thinks flaxseed oil can cause your head to increase by two hat sizes (and that never seemed to concern him)

I shudder to think how many HR's Hank, Babe, Frank, Willie, etc etc etc with these supplements but I still believe in the players even who participated and see no justification whatsoever of all the stonethrowing. I guarantee you not one person in this world can cast the first stone and are judging themselves by egging on media extravaganzas, IMHO. peace

Shep- you hit the nail on the head. barry made the exact point. he told reporters they had no right to question him unless their "houses" were totally in order.
trouble is though that no wrongdoing can ever be questioned in following that path...
and again, bonds has admitted to taking the stuff, just not KNOWINGLY doing it. That's just lawyer speak to avoid intent, which is an element of most crimes.
as to the harm in this and the "stonethrowing" well, there's an old saying in baseball that if you ain't cheatin', you ain't trying. However, that used to refer to throwing the spitter, stealing a sign, maybe even corking a bat.
Unfortunately, the level this is at is the ingesting of drugs that can have devestating negative effects on you and to that end, you have youngsters following their heroes and take this stuff like it's candy. That's the danger, that's the problem.
