Parade as an hour and twenty minutes long. Amazing turnout by the city.
Let the games begin.
Great time so far.

Behind 6-4 going into the top of the 7th in game 1 of pool play today. Score 10 to win 14-7 (everyone made their XP after TDs).
Lost 2nd game 13-5 to Midland (those boys can rake).
Bracket win #1. Round 2 on Tuesday weather permitting. Great environment.
Have fond memories of Farmington from 4 years ago. Was amazed at how the city supports the kids, the attendance at the games, how the locals are aware of team stats/players, and as your 1st post pointed out, the parade is amazing! Enjoy!
Gave up a couple early, nothing was dropping for us. Gave up 6 in the top of the 6th playing sloppily...................then we score 8 in the bottom to tie it up, but gave up a bomb in the top of the 7th to lose 12-8. But the best thing is we still get to play tomorrow.
Pizza party at a host family where Coop took $20 off the HOST moms playing left/right/center (I thought it was a baseball game). Back at it tomorrow afternoon.
And my oldest was correct, this is one of the greatest baseball experiences you will have if you get here. Maybe not the BEST baseball, but the atmosphere and community involvement are amazing. 7K fans at the game last night.
Signing autographs after every game, kids asking for batting gloves (don't give them away until last game!!!!!!), and everyone in town knowing what is going on and who is winning.
That's a wrap on "pre college" baseball. Dug a hole we couldn't hit ourselves out of today. 5 unearned runs in the 3rd (3rd out in and out of the glove, and the water started going over the dam and we couldn't stop it). Came back to get it close but couldn't get the big hit. 8-6 them. But below is what it is all about. Thank you Farmington, Connie Mack World Series, and host families. You made this one memorable week that will not be forgotten. The second picture is what makes it all worth while (the boys with their host family kids).
See you in a couple of weeks college.

So many friends for him and for me as a parent and they are friends for life. Baseball (due to it's stop/go/stop/go nature) requires you to actually have a conversation and talk to people.........and over time you learn a lot about that person and they about you. Love that my boys love the game that I love.
