Feather River is a good juco program. They get a number of draft and follow players. The conference they play in isn't as tough as the conferences down in the valley, but they do play very good baseball.

The town they're located in is a small mountain town, Quincy, that sits at around 5,000 ft. altitude in the Sierras. Lake Tahoe is about an hour to the south. It does get cold in the winter there, and quite a bit of snow too. If you're the outdoors type, it could be a wonderful fit beyond good baseball.

I work in Quincy and my son plays at Lassen Jr.
College.Feather River is a tremendous program
with a beautiful facility.HC Reed Peters is a
great coach. his bro rex peters is HC at UC Davis. Also great assistants. They have 68 kids
going out for fall ball right now and will
only keep around 30-32 hence they red shirt a
lot of kids. Lots of rain and fog and about
3500 feet some snow, mostly rain. Lassen college
is in Susanville, about 70 miles from Quincy.
It is a great little city with a new HC and a
new program. my son loves it there.if you have
any more questions feel free to shoot them at me
as I am very familiar with these schools. I also
played at lassen.
Coach Peters, former HC at the Air Force Academy is not only one of the best coaches around, he is a guy you would trust your son with, during this critical age bracket (going off to school/away from home for first time, etc) My son was recruite by Peters at AFA and was devastated when he left.

Quincy is a small, conservative town... nice college environment. I think about 1000 kids there, 700 of them athletes. Better be "a real player" to make this strong JUCO team.
