Feb 2...for you non D-I Folks

We have are season oppener on friday at home. i coudnt be more ready, on friday the game face goes on!

Well, it's 10 below zero right now, with snow on the ground and scattered flurries tomorrow. I'll venture we won't be playing baseball in Minnesota this weekend!

The one bright spot of my week...my son's team opens Friday, Feb 1
AND they are coming to us

He said they are coming in tonight (Thurs - Jan 31) and we'll hear "Play ball" at 2 PM.
More games on Saturday.

Yep, sooooo ready for my fix!! Mars Hill opens at Belmont Abbey Feb 2. Another game which should be good is Blue Ridge vs Young Harris.

I am in my final season as my youngest is a senior. I plan to cherish every moment!! It has been a wonderful ride. My oldest is living and working in Charlotte a few hours away, the youngest will have 1 extra semester to GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE.

I am lucky as even when my son's are all done, UNCA is only a few miles as is Montreat, Mars Hill and Blue Ridge. Still plenty of baseball in my future!

I am like Mn-Mom - I'll take any news I can get. Please update this thread with links to games if they are available or even posting box scores or game re-caps will help. It is time to start playing the games

Saturday double header here in Austin at noon and one game Sunday at noon. St Edward's vs Ouachita Baptist. St Edward's is ranked 28 in preseason division II poll and Quachita is number 12. It's nice to have baseball again. Saw that Lynchburg lost a couple of close ones but JT jr. had a good weekend

Thanks Cleveland Dad. That would be my boy. He had a good series, but the team lost all three. They beat us 2 out of 3 last year and we went to win the conference. I expect the team to win conference this year too. Mine was 3 for 7 with 2 walks and 2 homers.
