Hey everyone. I apologize for not responding sooner. Was down at the College Classic in Houston yesterday.

The magazines got mailed out to subscribers last Wednesday, but we have to send them bulk mail. So, unfortunately, we're at the mercy of the postal service. Sometimes it takes two days, sometimes two weeks! Trust me, it can be very frustrating.

If you don't receive yours in a reasonable amount of time, please let me know. You can either email me at kdaniels@totaltexasbaseball.com or call us at (817) 277-1966.

I also was assured that the bookstores received the magazines on Friday and were supposed to have them out for the weekend. I hope most did. If you happen to pop into your local Hastings or Barnes & Noble this week and don't see our magazine, let us know so we can follow up.

Again, thanks for the interest!

TTB - Went to Barnes & Nobles tonight at the Irving Mall and they do not have any and they still have the December issue about 5 of them? Where are they?

For those interested, you can pick up a copy at the B&N in Plano (by Collin Creek Mall). FYI, not all B&N carry the magazine. Some nice articles on the DFW area.

Nice article on Coppell so Train should be happy.

Teams on note from this area: Allen, Rowlett, Naaman, Irving, Coppell, Flower Mound, McKinney North). More mentioned, but these look to be the teams to beat.

Good coverage on the entire state and colleges.
Hey everybody. I apologize if some of the stores didn't have the magazine out. Wish I had an answer. We were told they'd get them on Friday and on the shelves for the weekend. Why Houston had them out and Garland didn't when we ship out of Dallas is beyond me.

But, sounds like everyone will have them on the shelves by now. We're in the process of updating on our website what stores they'll be in. Should have that complete tomorrow, so you can check there if you'd like.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll take any questions, comments or concerns you have.

The good old US Postal Service handles bulk mail differently than first class. They get around to sorting and sending the bulk mail when they get around to it. And sometimes they have a hard time locating that round tuit.

At several churches I attended over the years, we had real problems with newsletters getting processed and sent in a timely fashion. Took multiple talks the local postmaster (along with church members calling in complaints) to get the problem corrected.

TTB had the magazines delivered to the USPS on the 7th. It could take a while for the USPS to do anything with them.
Uncle Ethan,
Yeah, that's an embarrassing one. What's worse, I discovered that miscue while watching the Baylor/Rice game shortly after doing an interview with the Baylor broadcast!

Afraid I have no excuse. Was cutting and pasting the box template and got in a hurry. A not-so-subtle reminder that we've got to keep working harder to get better.

Again, I apologize to everyone for the snail's pace of the mail. Seems the DFW area is the one that we're having the most trouble with on the deliveries. Since we're based in Arlington, you'd think here would be the least of our worries. But you're right Texan, "round tuit" can't come soon enough.

We're hoping to talk to our printer and someone from the post office to see what we can do about improving things next month. If anyone knows any secrets or a postal agent or two we could bribe, let me know.

Thanks,
Kurt

That’s one player and counting who wasn’t mentioned in the issue. Any more? Smile

Disclaimer: That statement was only made to razz knowitall and was not intended to discredit the magazine....I am still eagerly awaiting my copy to arrive via snail mail...

I haven't gotten mine yet either here in the sticks of East Texas.

I have enjoyed each issue so far. In regard to increasing circulation, I am not a publishing professional by any means, but I do know what most publications (especially sports publications) do to increase readership in their male dominated demographics and that is one thing - swimsuit issues.

Maybe an annual swimsuit issue or a "Diamond Babe" in each issue photographed with three strategically placed baseballs would help spread the word about this really good publication.

I am not an advocate of that sort of thing, I am just pointing out what Sports Illustrated and other sports magazines have done in the past to generate interest.
