When I hit, after I hit the ball my feet kinda become uprooted and just move around wherever and I also finish the swing with one hand on the bat, I dont feel like I'm using my hips and legs as much as I can. Now I can still hit, I hit consistent line drives but I have very little power now for how big I am (6'2 180). Back when I was in 8th grade I was only 5'9 145 lbs and had extremely good power for how big I was, I hit a few homeruns and now I don't even have warning track power. Back then I also pulled practically every ball, everysingle ball I would pull and be extremely early on it, and when I hit, my feet stayed locked in, my hips would be facing rightfield(lefty) and both hands would be on the bat and the bat would hit my back back from how hard I swung. Now when I try to keep my feet locked in and try to open up my hips I either miss the ball or hit extremely weak ground balls. Is there any way I can fix this? any drills of some sort?

And one last thing, back in 8th grade I had extremely good eyesight, 20/10 and now I have 20/20, could that cause a difference in my hitting?

First thing that comes to mind is the change of bats from drop 10 or 8 or whatever to bbcor.  The drop 10 bat lets you flick your arms and wrists and produce bat speed.  Then there is the lively nature of the alloy.  This is why all levels should use bbcor.  That and safety.  Your mechanics may have been suffering all those years but the bat made it easy.  You definitely need hips and shoulders to hit with bbcor.  Go to youtube and in the search box enter 'pete rose overhead swing' an excellent video will pop up.  Good watch to show you how much the hips and shoulders are involved in the swing.  Copy this and you will see more pop.  And get a good baseball workout.  Strength is everything.  You have to be strong to swing that 2 pound bat with as little resistance as pissile thereby producing the holy grail - more bat speed!

Thanks for the input, but I've always used a -3 bbcor, in 8th grade when I was hitting 330 ft bombs I was using the same bat as I use today. I don't flick my wrists when I hit at all, I try to keep them as tight as possible so they don't break, but when I really try to open up my hips and use my legs they break. Do you get what I'm trying to say? I know I'm being really confusing but its hard to describe. I had really good mechanics back then and now my mechanics are horrible.

Stop trying to force open the hips.  This will come naturally.  In fact, fight the temptation to open them because it sounds like you are way too far open.  And don't fight your wrists.  That is the last part of the swing that applies the hit.  Finally, make sure your upper and lower half are in sync.  It should feel like everything is moving at the same time.  If you get too far out of sync and the lower half opens too much before the upper you'll loose power.  Good luck.

don't post the questions on a forum with no video, if you do have video then please still do not post on a forum for help...find some coach you know, or trust or get a reference from a travel ocoach and work on whatever changes may or may not need to be made!

Just my opinion - you can thank me later! good luck.
