our field is bermuda. i get a wide range of answers on the subject of watering. i would just like to know how often, for how long, and what times should i water our baseball field? its not rained all summer in kingsport. our high school summer league ended last week. we host the 14 and under usssa world series at the end of july. so right now is a dead time where i can flood it or whatever. id just like some concrete answers.

Best time to water it is in the evening, you want it dry before the sun goes down. If you water it in the morning the sun can scorch it if puddles are left. If you water it late at night you can get mold. You want to try to water it ever 3 days for about 15 minutes, this will force the roots to grow deeper and you will have a fuller, darker field. Caution, this is what we do in California and it works great. No idea if this would work in Ten.
