Can't let this thread get back on track without personally recognizing the poignant, brave and moving post of our own Woodman. I already knew much of the story and I was still very moved. God bless the Woodman, and his Forrest.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Gotwood,

Thanks for such an honest post.

YGD, Your post as well. Its tough to sometimes write about the sometimes stumblings of our young men.I am so happy he is getting a second chance, and I know he will do awesome.

This site is special, when we can come on here and sometimes we disagree, but we reconcile.Being sometimes only cyber friends, we show respect for one another, and share sometimes private and hardship times.

What I see in the overall picture is a group of parents, men, and women that have raised some good , fine sons, and we share the love of baseball as we meander through making the HS team, to possibly playing in college, to maybe some minor league, possibly MLB.This love of the game has brought many of us here.

I have many friends on here that I have written privately over the years, who have supported me through tough times.Friends that I apprecite so much.

This is a special site. Many of us have been on here for years.I started looking when my son was in seveneth grade. That was eight years ago!!!

My son and I read the list for making the HS baseball team, and did everything on it.LOL

We should be proud of this site, and of the conduct that allows us to get upset, and disagre, and spologize. Its like what happens in families. No one is perfect, but we all care about each other and our sons in a special way through this site.

The journey through baseball is awesome, frustrating, happy, sad, soo many emotions. But we ALL have grown, and our sons are growing.

Baseball as they say is way more than a game.its a lifestyle.LOL
Today is senior day at my son's college. I think 6 young men are leaving. One of them will get drafted but the remainder will be saying goodbye to the game.

Quality young men that I'm happy that my son has had a chance to meet, learn from and makes friends with.

All the best to them, their parents and all the seniors everywhwere who will be playing their last games.
