Krakatoa,
Never made one of their concerts, but the first time I ever saw them was either on "Midnight Special" or "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert". A couple of oldies from the past.

KILLER LIVE BAND, but it was horns deluxe in a guitar hero age.
I saw them on the runner's track where they shot the Breaking Away bike race.
Man could they swing.
Here ya go buddy. One of my all-time favs.
Ides of March
I know I keep hyping these guys (who now only occasionally get together - mainly in Nashville at the Exit/In - or is it the Off-Ramp?), but they put on the BEST live show I've ever seen. Talk about energy. I will stand fast to my opinion that Warner Hodges is one of the ten best guitarists of all time (despite JATS not being mainstream).
Go to youtube, type in Jason and the Scorchers, and take a look - lots of good stuff. Broken Whiskey Glass is one I know is on youtube.....I'd look for direct links but the 'tube' is blocked here at work )-;

Now that's my kind of Floyd!

He knows how to take a little off the top!

Abbey Road was the pinnacle of the Beatles for me, who was my favorite band based on the body of work, just as Dark Side was the epitome of rock and one of the best albums of the 20th century.
So many great albums have been listed prior. I could go on awhile....

This one deserves props if for nothing else it contains the best drum solo ever... IMHO
This thread can't be complete without a nod to the boys from Brooklyn! This was my first 'punk' album (senior year HS). Never saw them, but my brother caught a show at Pomona-Pitzer when he was a student there in the late 70s. He described it as "chaotic".
Btw, the documentary on the Ramones mentions that Johnny was a big baseball fan.
Lastly, what with the occasional surprises TRHit tosees out there about his musical past, it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out he was one of the Ramones.

IMO The best streamed concert of all time that's well worth turning down the lights and cranking the volume.
Floyd in concert
But I didn't see the barber on stage
Randy, I actually have that DVD.
If you you want to enjoy the true concert experience, throw it in HD/with surround sound and kick back. Memories galore!!

This is a great thread and from the album covers posted, there's an awful lot of great taste in music here.

......and "young" old folks... or is that "old" young folks!
Just to add some 'legs' to the topic, what is your SON listening to these days?
(Buckethead)
The Ten Fingers Of Doom; The Motor City Madman; The Nuge
(Norwegian on mom's side, so he's kind of into the Norwegian/Finnish Folk Metal at the moment)
Kind of curious what he'll choose for his 'entry' music.......

rz--This performance was at their 40th reunion concert in October, 2004---40 in '04. We were at that show! Most of these guys are in their late 50's and ROCK!! The fringe vest is "vintage".
Try to catch a show sometime...they play in Wisconsin once in a while. They definitely entertain.
jerseydad you did it again. I was thinking about that album and was going to look for it today.
That was the best 17 minutes of many weekends, until a parent came down the basement and snapped us out of our trance.
