FIRST BASE LINE RUNNERS BOX

Out here in socal virtually noone pays attention to this box , many fields do not even have them.Baserunners routinly run on the infield,no one ever gets called out.Ive seen dozens of plays interfered with,first and second baseman need to vacate bag immediatly or will be run down.

I can't remember the last time I even saw the base line box chalked out on a field.....

As an umpire, I have warned runners and first basemen about interference/obstruction at first in many situations..... more first basemen that runners though.

Well many fields still have them here in socal,But noone pays attention to them.Correct me if I'm wrong ,the runner must be in the box or he is out?If the box isn't chalked, makes it much more difficult ,a judgement call
