Has anyone been to a recent PG showcase that can advise if the pitchers are evaluated during games only? It typically says on the event instructions that they will be evaluated in games but in almost every PG profile video they show the player throwing pitches with no batter? Thanks

My son participated in one last year & the pitchers were only evaluated in games. The videos you’re seeing are the warm-up pitches before the batter gets in the box.
Thanks for the info KLL.
In the PG events we noticed a couple of other things. No walks issued—fastball only for pitchers after ball 4 or HBP. Pitchers may play and get metrics at secondary positions—it is completely left to the discretion of the player. Also pitchers are usually responsible for their own warm up—don’t expect a coach to make sure you are adequately loose. Find a catcher early if you are up in innings 1 or 2!
I don't think they are "evaluated" during warm up, but they do check velo. I used to tell my son to try to throw one really hard in warm up. If it shows up on the gun, it is posted...doesn't matter if it is a strike or even close.
I know your question is really focused on the metrics, but remember, EVERYTHING you do at one of these events is evaluated — velo, mechanics, sure. But also attitude, body language, work ethic, etc.
never list the schools attending (if any) can't believe they get away wit it. coaches want to see you IN PERSON still, no matter what anyone says about viewing profiles
