Son is going to Fort Myers for the 14U tournament this summer. I know, I know: it's 14U don't get too stressed. I assure you I'm not (yet). But I am very interested in knowing what to expect at a PG event even if it's for the very-much-still-young player. Is it solely a tournament function or are there showcase elements (BP, 60 times, IN/OF, and bullpens) as well? Thanks for any advance info.

This is a play to win tourney. No other components.
My son is also going to ft. myers this summer we went to the PG games in Atlanta last year my son is on 17/18yrs team It was just tournements nothing else was going on but it was the best looking ball field and we had the best time. There were scouts there but there are so many teams playing and so many pools its really just to have good competetive teams to play.

PG BCS National Championships July 4-9?
My son is on a 14U team that is playing that event.
14U plays to win. 17/18U prefers to win but the primary goal is exposure to college coaches and scouts.
Rob--The event we're going to is July 30-August 3. It's too bad we'll miss a chance to meet. Something tells me we'll get another chance since our boys are in the same age-group!
Everyone--Thanks for filling me in. The goal for now is exposure early to the best competition available. It'll be a great change of environment since we're coming from the Pac NW.
