May I brag a little?

Littlepapi's Jr. High baseball team won the Class 1A State Championship last night by knocking off the defending state champs, 11-1.

This was the first year of existence for the Marquette Academy Knights and they rolled through the three-game tournament outscoring their opponents 30-1 (I'm told that is a state record).

Congrats, I remember the feeling, (vaguely, seems like a long time ago). My son's team won the SIJHSAA state championship for Class L in the fall of 2002. It was the culmination of taking a bunch of boys that were showing some potential as fourth and fifth graders, and doing a mini travel team to get them some experience outside of 10 games each summer in the local Khoury league. It was a joy to watch them sweep through the season and tournament and finish 20-0, state champs. I believe 4 of those boys from that team are still playing college baseball (including mine

) and another from the summer team that went to a parochial school.
