Hey Mnite...

4-2...Kind of a rocky start that wasn't expected. Now we're on the threshold of the toughest stretch of our schedule...no less than 3 state champs from last year (from two states) and one runner-up. ...and we don't play at home again till early April. I guess we'll find out what the boys are made of.

But hey... It's baseball season!
LIFE IS GOOD!!!

How's your season going so far?
well I hope it turns around for ya hokie...We are struggling ourselves..Just got basketball guys at practice this week so that will help a little maybe....If there are any players left, our coach is crazy and about to run them all away from the game its a shame.....After a loss tuesday he told players not to come to practice in there team practice uni's so they didn't he then ran them all off. told them to get out of his sight,so its not to happy here right now, I dont know what will become of his temper tantrums but parents and kids on team are not in the mood to stay around, I guess we will see..... Maybe things will improve for yall anyway....ow by the way son hit a ground rule double in the loss,His only at bat in the game in 6th down 1 run got stranded on 3rd,with 3 strikeouts behind him, coach b***h at him for hittin it to left field. Ow well its gonna be a long year.
Congrats on the at bat. Give your son an attaboy from SW Fla. Sorry to hear of the pending mutiny. Here's hoping your coach grows a brain and things turn around for you. Is he new to the program? What's the makeup of your team, class-wise? (i.e. senior laden, young, very young, good balance, etc.)

Tell your son to keep his chin up and work hard. Tell him to bear in mind that, in spite of the idiots running the asylum, you never know who's watching and perhaps taking note of effort, attitude and accomplishment.
Hey Hokie we are very young. Have about 8 sophmores on varsity, but coach is a nut case.He is in his 3rd year, won district with veteran team first year and expects to win without teaching anything. Didnt play summer ball last summer and doesnt have alot of seniors on team, I will say there is a gooood team there he just doesnt have them on the field. Maybe he will wake up but I have no respect for him, He decided to make the kids not wear team practice uni's with school stuff on them to practice yesterday told them they didnt deserve to wear school colors and name when they showed up without them he kicked them out of practice and told them they could not return , then my son and seveal others took him at word and went home as he said, some of the others went home and changed and came back to practice and he allowed them to practice but mine and the ones who took him at his word are suspended from the game tommorrow.... Is that a hypocrite or what, then tell my son he is gonna have to be a leader of the team since seniors are not gonna do it...I am very confused with this confused young man trying to coach...Hope I dont commit a mortal sin before it is all over.

Hi there everyone,
Talk about long years. My son plays on a team with 2 returning players from last year, him and 1 other both are seniors, and boy what a year it is going to be......Last year they were something like 26-4 went ot Regionals etc....not happening this year. They have the same coach and he should have left last year. He thinks this young team should be doing the same as last year. Had one player last year go to the MLB and the others are playing college ball. It was a good team. My son is so frustrated. Our game the other day was like the Bad News Bears. THere are scouts watching my son and he feels they will not come anymore becuse of the team. He is frustrated. WE keep incouraging him and telling him they are there to watch him and not to worry about the rest, for him to keep doing his best. It is hard as a parent to see him so frustrated.

THanks I needed to vent..It is going to be a long year.
