Yes, it is. Hillsborough schools went back on the fourth. Between tournaments such as the Colt World Series and the USA Baseball 'AA' IBAF Youth World Championship in Monterrey, Mexico on August 19 - 30, the selected students will miss some school. The students will have to make up the work they missed.

It appears that most schools across the nation have a schedule that runs from the first Monday after Labor Day until late June.
How about football, does it begin earlier? It is too hot to play.
I know in Louisiana they begin school in a week, many schools begin end of august.
But i know that lots of baseball is still being played, wondering if this is why coaches want so many FL kids to verbal asap.

Little League Baseball is also holding its World Series in the various age groups at this time. Boys and girls the world over compete at different venues depending on age. Most of these series run until near the end of August. Florida is usually well represented.

Florida schools and parents are glad to have their children succeed in these tournaments. Because of the pride and admiration of the athletic accomplishment, Florida teachers have been glad to assist students in making up any work missed.

The most famous Little League World Series International Tournament is the Major (10 - 12 ) Division at Wiliamsport. Again, Florida parents and the parents of all children who compete in the World Series at this level, are proud of the children's accomplishment.
