This is not specifically baseball, but worthy of discussion. Another athletic hazing incident in Flower Mound has again resulted in a coach losing his job, and students being expelled. What is the problem in Flower Mound? Parents that allow their kids to grow up without consequences? Kids that have feel entitled and have no self control or boundaries? Coaches that have no control over their programs? What is going on over there? Or is Flower Mound one of the few school districts that will stand up and impose a no tolerance policy towards this type of behavior. This third incident involves the basketball program at Flower Mound High School. Varsity head coach (forced?) resigned from his coaching responsibilities, and several varsity returning starters from last years team expelled.

What??? You are right. This is not baseball. This is not the place for you to stir up something that is over and past. These types of topics only create speculation and assumptions. No need to bash on Flower Mound's parenting skills or coaches unless you are a expert on the subject matter. Let's stick with positive, usefull baseball topics on this forum!!
Get over yourself Bball4. Iwas not bashing, nor was I stirring up trouble, or conveying myself to be an expert. This story is not in the past, it was just reported in the newspapers, and the players involved are not out of the AES penalty imposed by the district. And while this incident did not involve baseball, it is high school athletics, and a serious topic for discussion and understanding.

As you experienced, there are problems with the Flower Mound Athletic Programs. One of them appears to be denial. You mentioned several things that could be a reason for the number of "hazing incidents". The list possibly should include questioning the possiblity that "hazing accusations" are being used to bring about coaching changes in the different programs. Your raising the subject for discussion is appropriate in my opinion because one of the Flower Mound High School Athletic Programs involved was the Baseball Program.
First of all, thanks to the 460 viewers who read and did not comment. Second , Asperin, this is exactly what I said the topic would produce.... speculation and assumptions. Maybe you guys should look at the real truths. We as parents (I have an 18yr old and 23yr old ) do our very best to teach our kids growing up the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunatally, as they get older they start to make ther own decisions and don't always make the smartest ones. Mine have made some really dumb choices but thankfully nothing major that they couldnt cope with and learn from. I dont think these situations at FM were premeditated actions but probably spontanious actions and stupid decisions from young men. Sometimes we get caught making bad decisions and have to face the consequences and sometimes we don't. That's life. So Let's let the family's and school administration handle it and not drag it thru the social media.
BTW-- I know no one involved in this topic, just a dad that loves baseball. Keep it Positive!!!

The first thing I thought of when you suggested leaving the problems at Flower Mound High School to the School Administration is the criticism currently being directed at Penn State's Administration for apparently covering up serious allegations to protect the institution at the expense of innocent children. This approach has resulted in significant harm to the University, every student of the University, alumni of the University and their fans. In my opinion a public discussion serves to protect all of our children.
