My son attends Marcus HS in Flower Mound. When you move - make sure you move into one of the neighborhoods that feeds Flower Mound HS. FMHS has a baseball program that is highly ranked in the state. FMHS has an excellent coaching staff and program. Unfortunately, Marcus HS does not.

good ol' Flower Mound. Whenever I return I point out housing developments and say "that's where we use to ride motorcycles" or "Suzie Mae Johnson and I used to...." oops, never mind
It's a nice area and I grew up there and played baseball at Lewisville High.

Should also look up the Flowermound Rattlers organization. From what I have seen of the 13u group they are well coached and great guys. If I lived there I'd try to have my son play for them.

I would agree that you need to find a house that feeds into FM High School. The closer to the HS the better, as they are always tinkering with attendence zones.

Coach Matlock will probably be coaching for a D1 College by the time your kids attend FM High, but he has put together a great organization.

For the best in most levels/ages of baseball, most competitive, I think you should check out www.bbidallas.org. Many good teams, some travel a little, some alot... For your HS guy, depending on his abilities, Patriots, Knights, Tigers, Panthers are very reputable organizations, with most of the top players in North Texas on their rosters.
BBI ( Boys Baseball Inc.) is the oldest, most well established league in the DFW area. Don't know of any Bear Creek teams that have gone to Mickey Mantle or Connie Mack.
Another alternative is Dallas Mustangs, of Lonestar Amateur Baseball League (www.lonestaraba.com). Sam Carpenter left BBI many years ago, but has always had very competitive teams, always competes in Mickey Mantle & Connie Mack World Series.

Flower Mound HS is going to State Finals this week (Region 1 5A Champion), so that's definately the school to be in!!

Flower Mound is ranked as Recognized to Exemplary by Texas Education Agency. They have 3 academic tracks, including all core courses available in AP. Many middle to Upscale neighborhoods, relatively high property taxes help to insure academic excellence in this area...
