Is Paul Konerko one of the best "flying under the radar" players of all time? He rarely comes up in conversations of top players. Check out the numbers.. It's conceivable he could get to 500 homers if he stays healthy and maintains his production. Who do you think are other players who fly low under the limelight?

I have a feeling Michael Young is going to end up like Paul Molitor. On some level people realize what a special player he is, but they don't really give him a whole lot of attention. Then one day you look up and he's getting his 3,000th hit and you say, "Wow, we're going to have to vote that guy into the Hall of Fame."

Maybe Tim Hudson, Aramis Ramirez, Carlos Lee, Saddam Hussein.
Joey Votto is heading in that direction.

Hudson has been a solid starter for many years but is not a HOF contender. Ramirez and Lee are solid starters but not even close to where Konerko is. Actually I think Ramirez and Lee are both terribly overrated.

The Saddam reference made me laugh, I guess that was the point.

Votto could well be a HOF guy if he puts up 12 more years like the recent ones. Staying injury free will be key. I do think he has the right swing to stay productive as he gets older, not just go from stud to discard all of a sudden (a la Adam Dunn).

Trying to think of others: Also in the Molitor/Young mode, think about what kind of numbers Todd Helton is going to have when he finally hangs 'em up. Not a big HR guy but a top overall producer year after year.

Craig Biggio, Jon Valentin and Mo Vaughn played together in the same infield at Seton Hall. Are there any other pairing of three players who played infield or outfield together at the same college with successful MLB careers?

How about Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, and Bobby Thigpen at Mississippi State?

There are many college programs who had three players play together and have successful pro careers. What makes the Seton Hall three significant is they were all part of the same infield.
