Greenbrier beat themselves in game one giving up 8 unearned runs(10-9 in 9 inn), after the first game jitters left they settled in to take care of business in game 2(6-3). Solid starts from Jordan Adair & Sean Poppen and good relief from Caleb Ferrell. Kam Stewart & Adair led the way at the plate going a combined 7 for 12 with 2 HR, 2 doubles and 6 RBI's. Greenbrier got solid pitching and timely hitting. Game 1 was a pitching duel between Jordan Adair and #22 for Post 204, who was the tough luck loser only giving up 1 hit/run in the 1-0 game. Adair went all 7 for 280 only giving up 2 hits and a walk. In game 2 Sean Poppin was impressive in 6 shut out innings with Caleb Ferrell finishing out the 7-0 win.

Greenbrier's Jordan Adair and First Colonial's Justin Keith pitched a great first game, striking out 7 each; Adair allowed only two singles by Kenday Cuffee and shut down the rest of the team allowing only one batter past 2nd base. Keith was hurt by some of the team's first game rustiness in the first inning where they had 3 errors and surrendered the only run on an overthrown ball to second with runners at first and third. Only one batter got to second base the rest of the game an Greenbrier's first hit was by Adair in the 6th.

The second game was highlighted by Jordan Adair, Sean Poppen and Caleb Farrell's two hits apiece.
Sean Poppen scattered 4 FC hits over 6 innings to get the win.

next game: Monday June 13th Post 204FC vs. Post 280 Chesaapeake @ FC

Nansemond River will not have a team this year. Heard this from one of the NR parents. Not enough players from the NR HS team wanted to commit due to their individual showcase team's schedule.
