How many of your boys have been able to cross over from football class into baseball class at the semester? I am getting a lot of conflicting information, like "sure no problem" and "nope, that's against the rules". From what I can see, if both coaches are agreeable to it, then it is doable, but if one(normally football...go figure) doesn't like it, than there is some trump card they pull to keep it from happening. I could call the AD to get the facts, but honestly I don't want to raise any red flags just in case.

My son's high school is the same as OldDude. If you play football, you stay in football off-season, EVEN IF YOU ARE A VARSITY BASEBALL PLAYER. The only exception is if it is your senior year.

As a freshman, my son was lifting weights and doing max outs in the morning, then playing baseball that evening. He never got injured, but I doubt it helped his effectiveness.

At McKinney High football is 1st period and baseball is 7th period. The coaches have always allowed the kids to play both. With our baseball field off campus it takes a while for the kids and coaches to get to the field set up the equip. etc...by the time everyone is ready to get serious, school has let out and the football players are arriving.
