I'm surprised but not shocked (based upon our court system), that the event happened last November and we are just now dealing with a verdict and punishment. We are talking juveniles here.

They should have served the punishment long before now. I don't agree with the Judge's timing, however this was a dumb mistake by kids. I feel for the kids injured, and this seems to be a lite punishment.

Bet these guys are pretty good on the field, or they would be serving the time now.
I must say, not in defense of these kids, but in making others aware, that the juvenile system is very backwards. I became familiar with the situation after going through an experience. The way your treated, your rights, everything changes. I would like to not go any further. LT- I assume when you say our court system in that system your talking about how long it takes... and I can confirm that there are almost exact systems (requirements) put in place that cause for length between event and trial.
