Seth 3 years ago with his 3 friends in travel bb. Three D3 and 1 D1P5. Want to guess? From 5'6" 115 lbs to 6'1" 190 in 2-3 years. Makes me laugh. Get in the weight room and work like a dog.

Training is now the key, as one can see from your pic above.
Funny timing, was just checking the timeline on son today, as he finally hit 200 lbs.
June 2018 - 5’9, 140
May 2021 - 6’3, 200
The height is a blessing he couldn’t control. But the muscle mass is all his.
I think my son was 5'7", 115 the night before his first HS game last February. Today he is 6'1", 155. Velo at the time was around 70-75. Sat 85 yesterday.
When my son was eleven he was the runt on the LL all star team that won districts and sections making it to the states. It was a team full of 5’7 to 6’ kids. When they announced the line up the #8 hitter was 6’. I don’t think the opposition expected to see and hear, Batting 9th and catching ... (a 4’10” 85 pound catcher). They also probably didn’t expect him to throw line drives to second from his knees.
In 8th grade he was 5’4 120. Freshman year he was 5’11” 135. Senior year he was 6’1” 175. By soph year of college he was 6’2” 195.
I shared this story in another thread (I think the HS season thread). My small 2023 catcher (5'8" 145#) played a team with two 6' 2"+ catchers. HP Umpire told him in the middle of the game that he is too small to be a catcher. My son held his own and went to shook umpire's hand afterwards to tell him that he isn't too small to be a catcher.
Anyway, I hope I can come back here in 2 to 3 years to share how my son shot up 6 inches... But wife is short so it may not happen. However, what I do know is that this has caused my son to work harder. But he's still requesting that my wife stay far away from him if and when there's a recruiter interested in him this summer....
Too funny and familiar. We did try to hide his Mom during recruiting.
What if you don’t bloom (growth wise)? Before my son grew he loved this guy. We saw him hit a homer into the wind at Villanova.

Son was 5'6" - 5'7", 210 when he was a12yo. He is 6'5" 205 as an 18yo. Hard work and mother nature......
Is 5'7" 210 a typo?
Great post and responses!!!

My next door neighbors kid played in the LL WS at 12 years old. He was 6'2" and 230 lbs.
His Mom used to send bats back to the factory that he broke. Later played OG for IOWA football. Julian Vandervelde
