who's in the conference? jacobs, dundee-crown, crystal lake, etc????

Huntley, Jacobs, Cary Grove, Prairie Ride, Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South, Dundee Crown, Woodstock, Mchenry, and Grayslake.

i guess not many posters here are aware of the fvc.

A year or two ago, this board was full of Fox Valley posters.

"the rant" an article on mchenrycountysports.com predicted huntley, prairie ridge, dundee crown, and CL Central as the top 4 teams going for the conference title this yr

I believe the Fox Valley is going to be very competative this year. The top teams should be Crystal Lake Central, Jacobs, Dundee Crown, Prairie Ridge and Cary Grove. Crystal Lake Central is the defending champion. They are Sr. heavy with good hitting and defense led by OF/P David Heasley, SS Ben Graeff, 3B Mike Streit, C/P Scott Spinelle and OF Justin Rueff. Pitching depth will be an issue after Heasley and Spinelle. Jacobs is also Sr. heavy lead by OF/P Pat Luehring, P Steve Plettau, OF Matt Revelle and 3B Mike Kruger. Dundee Crown tied for second in conference last year and has a good mix of Jr's. and Sr's. lead by SS Elliot Soto. Prairie Ridge always competes and should be lead by P Andrew Burkett, SS Nick Rudolph, 3B Trevor Rutkowski and CF Mike Wyatt. Cary Grove lost some quality players for last year's team but P's Drew Leudtke and Nick Maloney along with 2B Chris Jacquier should help carry the load. Also, Crystal Lake South might surprise some teams.

i know that cary-grove graduated alot. who are some of the juniors that will come up to varsity and make an impact.

What happened to D'anunzio and york at cary-grove, I thought they had a lot of wins as pitchers last year?

I also thought you had a sophmore named cappela that was a top hitter and what about a catcher named koga? Are they still at cg?

well..I should have also mentioned
D'annunzio and Grala.. both pitchers.. doing great, but Capella, York and Koga are not playing this year.

Sorry to hear they are not playing, thought they were good ballplayers.

I guess each had different reasons for not playing...sometimes ya just gotta make a choice.

Too bad. These were pretty good players, and good kids. Sometimes there are too many things going on and a kid just has to decide what to do, and what to give up
