Did anyone else brave the temps to attend the showcase/camp at FPC this past Sunday? Son was there along with at least 100 other brave ballplayers. I checked the official weather for Rindge, NH, this morning (first time I'd used the hour-by-hour-for-yesterday function on weather.com). Actual temps from the beginning of registration at 8am thru the final pitcher at approximately 4pm ranged from 34 deg to a balmy high of 50. With the wind off the water, the "felt like" temps were 30 deg thru 47.
As a mom, I was blessed with a winter coat, a warm blanket, hot coffee, and occassional trips to sit in a nice warm car. The boys, however were real troopers and worked hard regardless of the weather because that's what hardy northeast ballplayers do. Noticed lots of license plates from NH, MA, CT, ME, VT, NY, and NJ in the parking lot. Any of them belong to my fellow northeast websters?
