@Dadbelly2023 nailed it. There is a lot of personal ownership and legitimate pride with HSBBW. While it's not 100% "pure," it's easily the closest thing to that out there. An authenticity that is super rare. People work hard to stay actively involved and contribute to the "pay it forward" culture of it. MOST of it is done by people that don't stand to make one red cent (or promote something else that DOES make them money) due to their participation.
I have no problem with anyone who wants to promote their business. I'm a fan of capitalism. But this isn't the place. You need to know your audience. As best I can tell, Rudd hasn't come around HSBBW for a while. Why is that? And more importantly, what brought him back this time? Was it to promote his business? Or to truly share and contribute? If Rudd sincerely wants to contribute and pay some things forward, here's my advice. Start a new account here. Make your profile name something along the lines of "BaseballLover2571." Make no mention of who you are. Say nothing that might ultimately put more money in your pocket. Show a continued and sincere interest in helping others only out of the goodness of your heart. Be selfless. Do these things and you'll be surprised how differently you're treated here. Just give free information versus say, creating a new thread that leads with "FREE." Most people here are very sharp. It's part of what makes this such a gem. But with those smarts comes fair skepticism and a loyalty to keep the site as authentic and pure as possible.
Speaking of skepticism, @TerribleBPthrower and @Dadbelly2023 are right on. You've got 9 coaches across a super wide swath of the game plus a host. 10 people, but only 60 minutes. And after the obligatory introductions and pleasantries sprinkled throughout the hour, asking what the goal and value is, is absolutely fair. Is the event really about helping people? Worth their time to learn things they don't already know? If so, market it as such. But with minimal information provided outside of a flashy graphic that tells us it's a "ground-breaking event" and a snide remark to a question from a poster here, what exactly are you expecting, Josh? I'm sure it was not easy getting these 9 guys together at once. Congrats on that feat. What we haven't got is the why.
