The problem with the video I looked at is that Thurston understand where arm slot comes from. This is a very common problem with pitching coached from this generation. John Bagnozzi also doesn't understand this.

Arm slot isn't determined by the bend of the elbow. Instead, it's determined by the tilt of the shoulders.

Some of his points about higher arm slots leading to injuries also don't have any basis in fact.
