Freshman gettin the short end?

Life is not fair. Get used to it. As you move up you have to adjust. I do not know your situation but maybe coming up you were one of the best players now you are just another freshman where everybody else is just as good or even better. The same thing will happen as you move up to JV or varsity. You deal with it. Fair or not fair has nothing to do with it

Again I have been taking in everybody's advice and Will I understand life is not fair; read my later posts and you can see that. I guess saying the words no fair were a bit of an over exageration when it comes to getting cage time. So everyone knows first thing when school is back in I am going to the coach and asking if there's any way possible to get cage time with them if I come early or stay late and help clean up or do whatever I can. If that doesn't workout I have a backup plan where I can get a deal at a local batting cage so I can hit and throw too. Even if that doesn't work I can possibly get our travel coach who coaches at another high school nearby to maybe give me a few lessons here and there on my pitching and batting (he's a great coach, there's nobody else I know that knows more than he does). I don't exactly know the varsity coach personally but I know him good enough to where we talk baseball while in the weight room and he knows where I used to play. Hopefully this will help in his decision in whether I can go to the cages with the older guys or not.

Life isn't fair for the other guys so work harder than the others and you might steal some serious playing time. Every coach wants the best guys out there.

TPBulldog....other players read these threads too.....so maybe you are not getting the responses that you want....or you feel that your original post was misunderstood....but...think that if other players read this thread they probably sympathized with you....and hopefully...... learned something from all the posts.....and that's important too. I'll be happy to let everybody know my situation is resolved in not only 1 way but 2. Just today after weight lifting I didn't even have to ask, the varsity coach told me and a few other guys that we could go to the cages with the older guys because we've been making the effort to go to every conditioning session, and we've even been going while we're on break. It's only on thursdays but hey it's free cage time for me. PLUS I got a deal where I only have to pay $35 for one month so I can go to that facility whenever I want Monday through Friday to hit and throw. Looks like things have turned my way a bit with hard work and a bit of luck. WOOHOO!

Coaches often put little "carrots" out there...Those players that grab onto the opportunities will reap the rewards!
