Chris Friedrich (Loyola 05) Pitched 6 innings of 2 hit ball while striking out 11 vs. Tennessee Tech, he is 5 and 0 with and ERA of just over 1.0 in this, his Freshman season at Eastern Kentucky. He has pitched 14 straight scoreless innings and has only given up 2 hits in that span. He has been named Ohio Valley Player of the week twice as well as Louisville Slugger Division 1 Player of the Week and National withCollegiate Baseball Writers Division 1 Pitcher of the Week.

He was still hitting 91 mph after 100 pitches on Saturday.

UPDATE-----
Friedrich pitched 6 innings against Tennessee Martin on 4/8 allowing 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 10. His 15 inning scoreless streak did come to end however. EKU won the game 5 to 1.

Friedrich continues to put up big numbers in a big season.

What an impressive story thus far!
