Had the opportunity to spend this afternoon, my wife and I, with my grandsons, 2plus and 1plus and my daughter and husband---the older guy has developed quite a swing--not on a tee but with dad pitching, overhand, with a wiffle ball---Aiden, the oldest put on a exhibition for me--_WOW---hits and runs the bases well

Now, keep in mind his Dad and I have talked at length about the 6 U teams --- as we sit down for lunch he says to me " Dad you think you can hook him up with a 6U travel team"---he had that Irish twinkle in his eye, he is a Murphy, and I knew where he was coming from---Aiden was running around all afternoon in his David Wright NY MET Jersey---

In case you missed it in the Texas forum, there was a brief mention about a 6U game. The resulting comments follow:

Didn't notice any Stalkers but some Jugs caught my attention.

Not to distract from the topic of honoring Clayton................

but that may be the greatest two lines ever written on this forum. Big Grin

It's funny how some of these wee little ones take to certain things.
My son's favorite toy from eighteen months on was his Little Tikes tee ball set. His sister is five years older. When she outgrew her Little Tikes baby carriage I filled it with whiffle and dead tennis balls. It was funny to see my son pushing the cart and dragging the tee out of the garage. As a valued toy it became a focal point of learning discipline regarding "picking up after yourself when you're done." He still didn't play organized ball until 7/8 machine pitch.
