After a number of cancellations, weather finally cooperated in the Northwest. Second complete game pitched, third appearance. I was a little worried about lack of bullpen time, however, he struck out 16 in our second league game winning in 8 innings 1 to 0. Has struck out 35 in 17 innings of work and a zero ERA. I am extremely proud of him.
LHP:
Wow. What high school is you son at? As I recall you are in S.Oregon, right?

Complete games this early in the year.... are you worried about his pitch count? Especially for striking out that many. How many pitches did he throw in the 8 inning game?

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't zero a pretty good ERA? Congratulations!
I wish I had something to Brag about!!
The Weather has just not cooperated around here.
It's really going to be a pain in the rear, with all the make-up game's. That will have to be made up. It will really Tax the pitching staff.
Season end's 1st week in May, And playoffs start the 2nd week in May.
But if I have any good news I will Post. the EH

Having been born in Tillamook,OR (with an annual rainfall of 100") I can only offer you and your team the following song to help console all of you and ease your meteorologic dilemma.

Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head by: B.J. Thomas

Raindrops keep fallin' on our field...
Just like the picnic that's too wet, it makes us squeal.
No where we can hit.
Those raindrops are fallin' on our field, they keep fallin'...

So I just did me some talkin' to my son...
And I said I didn't like the way the mud has come.
Soakin' all the ground.
Those raindrops are fallin' on our field, they keep fallin'...

But there's one thing we know...
The goo that impedes us won't defeat us.
It won't be long till our team steps up to beat 'em!

Raindrops keep fallin' on our field...
But that doesn't mean my socks will soon be turnin' red
Wadin's not for me
'Cause I'm revvin'up to stop the rain by flatulatin'
Because I'm me...
Everyone's scurryin' from me!

[trumpet]

It won't be long till our team steps up to beat 'em!

Raindrops keep fallin' on our field...
But that doesn't mean my socks will soon be turnin' red
Wadin's not for me
'Cause I'm revvin'up to stop the rain by flatulatin'
Because I'm me...
Everyone's scurryin' from me!

I really hope that helps theEH...it'll have to do...I'm all out of umbrellas!

That big Orange/Yellow thing in the sky...is your field next to a Union 76 station? Sometimes I get their sign mixed up with the real thing!

I re-worked the song a bit for you...hopefully it will bring a quicker solution to your problem...I suggest that you dine solely at Taco Bell for maximum effect!

Perhaps the team can pass the hat so you may pass the gas!

Have a successful season!

Sorry all...all this noxious talk belongs on the Men's Forum!
