I wanted to share our experience with this unique and incredible device. It's been around for about 10 years and really gaining notice for it's ability to speed up healing for all types of injuries and especially sports injuries of all kinds. You can learn more about this at www.gameready.com

Our son suffered a knee dislocation and if anyone knows about this it's pretty painful. The swelling is bad and the time to heal can be a few months. Anyway using Game Ready has cut his healing time in half that is by using it as directed. There is still Physical Therapy that needs to be taken just as serious as the way you practice and play. Every Pro Team has a few on hand and so many Colleges and are now using them regularly. In addition High Schools are now starting to use them but that is still a slow process.

If you can afford one, these are fantastic units. I've never used one personally, but I have used CryoCuffs and Breg Kodiak machines. Those are what we use in our clinics. They are MUCH cheaper and are also very effective. There are a couple of new machines on the market in the last year or so that fall in between these prices. But for me, I am still a big fan of a bag of ice and an ACE wrap!

MTH I stand corrected. It probally does not heal in half the time an injury but it sure is incredible. Also a note to all that are not sure where to get one. You can rent one from Game Ready with a prescription from your Doctor. They do work well. As for just using ICE and ACE wrap, I would  say go to their website and look at the comparison when using game ready and ice and wrap. The game ready is so much better and the the cold water and pressure is constantly moving so it really helps move the heat away which reduces swelling.

I knew you didn't mean it literally.  ;-) I shoulda put that emoticon in there.  My son used one after his shoulder surgery and thought it was great.
