Lane 6, Von Steuben 5 in what turned into a nailbiter during Von's last at bat. Scott Doebler pitched 6 innings for Lane in their first conference game, gave up one run. Brian Wasilk and Josh Colon split the pitching duties in the last inning... At least it was exciting!

I know Morton and Oberman very well, they are two very fine young pitchers.

Evanston is well set on the mound for at least a while. Oberman 07, Morton 08.

Batavia finished off the sweep of Geneva today with a 4-2 victory. Jordan Coffey pitched a heck of a game to get the win. I went 2-3 w/ a homer and 3 rbi. sorry, i don't mean to brag, but I am not a guy who has hit many homers. that was my first actually in 4 years. We are now (9-5)(3-0).

Sophomores:

Was 6-6 in the top of the 6th when I left, at LWE.

LWE Soph down by 3 in the bottom of 7th came back to win 11-10. Unbelievable finish.

Also, if u happen to know like the standings in the csl or some of the other records of the teams u should post them. We split with GBS and we are now 2-3 in conference.

Tegid, nobody "got me". If u look back at my posts on this forum I have posted about almost everyone of Evanston's games. Many of them I have not pitched. However, many of them I have.

Alleman 5 - Moline 4

Alleman takes a big non-conference victory over rival moline.

For those of you who wanted to know the CSL Standings in the South they are:

I'm a little suprised by Maine South getting to the top, but I know they do have some good pitchers with Bradley, Manson, and Wolff. I'm also very sure that New Trier will be in the mix at the end.

Does anyone know what the standings are in the CSL North? The only two teams that I am pretty sure about are GBN and Deerfield, they are both 4-1 I believe. How about the other teams?

Dont be too surprised by the standings. The Hawks can play and while they will fall apart at times, when they put it all together they are a scary team. Plus, their opponents thus far have been Niles West, Highland Park, Niles North and maine West--far from stellar.

Yes, New trier is always scary, especially in big games, but they do not seem to be as dominant as usual. GBS is a team that benefits from playing in that shoebox they call a field.

I should be a good race to the finish.
