Smith - Gun battery ran out after first few pitches but said hit 87.Not sure Off Speed.

Both are #1 on any team. Must be nice to have both these guys on your staff.

They both have some talent, but would not be No 1. on any team.

With all this hyperbole, you do realize that they both pitched in the same game and lost.  This does not lessen their ability, it's just to say...take a deep breath!

By the way heard Eason did not make it out of 2nd inning 9-0 after 2.So that is a loss too.

I agree with this.  They will score a ton but perhaps the best offensive team in the south side in recent years was the 2011 GB team that had 6-7 Division I hitters in it and Charlie Cody was the No.9 hitter. They scored in the 9 per game range and were held to 5 or under a few times.

I think this WB crew is excellent but not quite as deep as that group.  That team also lost 2 of 3 in FL. and a couple of SED games.  They ultimately won the State and finished in the Top 30 nationally in a number of polls and were very good at the end when it mattered.

Looking ahead is fun and why I get on the board and comment so let's look back in mid May and see who was right.

The GB team from 2011 and this WB team don't even compare. From what I have seen so far in Western Branch's first 4 games, they can flat out hit. We will find out in June though
