OK, so maybe it wasn't a high school game, but hats off to 2009 Coppell High School grad Austin Elkins, who homered in his first collegiate at-bat in Dallas Baptist's 13-2 win over UTA.
Ditto for Duncan McAlpine, a 2009 Birdville grad, who hit a three-run shot for the Patriots in the win.

I'll probably get e-slapped for this, but McKinney High (freshman) beat McKinney Boyd (freshman) 5-3 in a scrimmage Saturday. I know .. freshman .. but both teams have several solid players in this class.
