The politically correct way to do things is to sit and wait for your turn. However, your turn may never come with this coach.

You are seen by no one when you are sitting on the bench. You learn very little by not playing.

Happened to me one time and that one time was enough. Went to play for another team and it was a BLAST!

When you give up your summers, i.e., weekends, to play baseball, you should enjoy it.

There's wisdom in BeentherIL's words.

It's always going to be a tough call change teams, but it's worth it if you move into a situation that enables you to play. I'm sure most players would consider it smart to change teams in order to play at a higher level and get more recognition.

So if you are not currently playing and improving, then to stay where you are is pretty much a waste of time, if you can find a position on a team that will play you.
Tonight was our final summer game and I played 3 innings and did fine

After the game, coach gave us a talk about expectations, etc. He said there are 2 guys at every spot right now,and who ever works harder will win the spot.We lost 11 seniors, all starters but 1 so every spot is open but SS(where we have 2 great SS,one will likely have to move to 3b of CF,very versatile players)

So Im confident I can win the spot. However, come opening day in spring and Im not in the lineup because of favorites being played,I know a few schools that would gladly accept my services.
