I'm a sophomore who is homeschooled. I play 2nd base (i bat lefthanded) for a showcase team. I wan to play baseball at the next level. I have been told that college coaches won't be able to offer me a scholarship because i'am homeschooled. Should i e-mail the coaches of schools i would like to play for?? Or just wait for them to contact me.

ALLSTAR91:
There is great inforamtion on this website under recruiting timelines. It spells it out for you step by step. This is the info. I used in our process to help my son get to the next level.
It has sample letters and the do's and don'ts

I am not sure on the scholarship question as it pertains to homeschooled, but I am sure some of the other websters could give there opinion.

Good luck
ALLSTAR91,

There is a LHP who throws in the low to mid 90's in my son's varsity league who was also homeschooled. I believe he enrolled in and attended his high school for his senior year. I heard he was a solid student with good grades, which may have a lot to do with his being offered a full scholarship at Lemoyne college. Last I heard, there's a possibility he will be drafted and not go to Lemoyne. I'm not sure whether or not his enrollement in high school was a requirement for the scholarship or not.
