It has been said before that if you go the video route, make sure it is done professionally...tripod, no voice over and several angles. Most important is...no more than a couple of minutes. Most coaches will only view for a minute. Look at the PG videos for pitchers...less than a minute.
Just my opinion!
Ditto on the tripod for stability and ease of viewing and overall length and mute the audio as well.

What percentage of total interest do you attribute to the video?

What about high school/travel team performance, attendance at college camps, coach contacts and use of showcase venues?

Are there some special circumstances that made this video so valuable to you?
Yes I am well aware it was a very amateur video but it got the job done! We made the video because I had a conflict with my showcase team and could not attend another college camp I was interested in. We sent the video out and immediately got lots of interest and was able sign early with one of the schools without them ever seeing me pitch live.
Hey Mober,
I looked at some of your posts and you say it is a D3 school, correct.
D3 schools give no baseball money, only academic & aid. Therefore, no early signing.
You first need to be accepted into the school, get your academic/aid money & then tryout for the team in the fall.
Not saying that all this has not happened, just trying to clarify what you have said.
Good Luck & enjoy the ride.
